EXCESSIVE WORRYING

Worrying.jpg

Instead of spending energy to worry about a problem, rather use that energy to stand strong and to take appropriate action. Use it to prepare for what's coming so that you have a fighting chance!

Worrying in itself isn't the problem; it can be beneficial if we keep it under control and use it correctly. In short, worrying causes us to take a situation seriously. We become hyper-vigilant and acutely aware of the danger that lies ahead. We can then use this to our benefit, like using the state of hyper-vigilance to find crucial information about the threat that could be used to our advantage. Our worries can also serve as the fuel that propels us toward planning and taking action.

On the other hand, if we don't keep our worries under control and ground them with realistic thinking, we will become consumed by fear and unable to advance a single step. This is when worrying becomes a bad thing.

If we face a significant threat, we tend to withdraw into our minds, thinking about how bad it's going to be and that there's no hope. We create so much noise in our minds that we cannot effectively deal with what's happening. When the threat is serious, we should do the opposite. The bigger the threat, the more you have to focus, and the brighter your warrior spirit has to shine  Rise to meet the threat at its level!

When your worries take over control, they turn you into a victim that feels like there's no point in fighting back. They cause you to withhold effective action, and they change you into someone that's waiting helplessly for the danger to wreak havoc in your life.

Instead of becoming the victim, choose to awaken the warrior within you and confront the threat! Charge into battle with your sword in your hand and fire in your eyes. Refuse to lay down in defeat! Now you have a chance of coming out on top!
